The HighPoint jobs board: job cards with progress bars and Sheetrock, tape and bed, and texture tasks marked not started, working or done.
Job names and crew details changed for privacy.

What they were dealing with

Crews were out on job sites all day and the office had no idea where anything stood until someone made a phone call. Job details lived in text messages, notebooks, and people's heads.

The owner wanted to know when a task got finished without having to chase anyone down for it. And the crews, who were working with their hands all day, were never going to log into a dashboard to check on each other.

What I built

  • A private, password-protected app where the owner creates jobs, breaks them into tasks, and assigns them to specific people.
  • A simple phone-friendly view for the crew: see your tasks, mark them done. That's it. Nothing to learn.
  • Automatic text messages to the owner whenever a task changes, saying which job it was, what changed, and who changed it.
  • A daily message board so the office can get one announcement out to everybody at once.
  • Two levels of access, so crew members only ever see what they're supposed to.

What it does for them

  • The owner knows where every job stands without calling anyone
  • Nothing gets lost between the job site and the office
  • New crew members can use it without training
